Fair Housing Policy

Our Commitment
Matchd supports equal housing opportunity. Listings, submissions, recommendations, and other platform activity may not express preferences, limitations, or discrimination based on any characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. This includes, among other protections, race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, familial status, pregnancy, age, ancestry, marital status, source of income, veteran or military status, and any other protected characteristic.
Federal Fair Housing Act
The Federal Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 3601–3619) prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing. Matchd also supports the Florida Fair Housing Act and applicable Miami-Dade County and local fair-housing requirements. This policy is intended as a platform standard and is not legal advice; the applicable law may protect additional characteristics or apply additional requirements.
Recommendations and Matching
Matchd uses listing information and user-selected housing preferences to organize discovery results. Matchd does not intentionally use protected characteristics, proxies for protected characteristics, or discriminatory requests to rank, recommend, filter, or explain housing options. A Matchd Score is a compatibility signal based on the information available to the platform, not a determination of who may buy, rent, occupy, or receive housing.
Prohibited Content
Submissions containing language indicating a preference for or against any protected class will be flagged for manual review and may be rejected, including:
- Statements limiting occupancy based on race, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, or another protected characteristic
- Language excluding or discouraging persons with disabilities or people who need a reasonable accommodation
- Statements discouraging families with children, pregnant people, or another protected household (subject only to lawful exemptions)
- Language indicating a preference based on source of income, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or another protected characteristic
- Any other expression of a discriminatory preference
Pet-Friendly and Assistance Animals
“Pet Friendly” describes an ordinary pet policy or a user preference and does not change rights or obligations relating to assistance animals. Housing providers may have separate obligations for reasonable accommodations under applicable law. Confirm animal policies and accommodation questions directly with the relevant housing provider or a qualified professional.
Platform Role
Matchd is an independent property-discovery technology platform. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Matchd does not provide brokerage services, establish agency relationships, represent buyers, sellers, landlords, or tenants, or participate in real estate transactions.
